Description
Identification portrait of 413373 Aircraftman 2 (A.C.2.) George Henderson Gray, of Chatswood, NSW. After enlisting on 17 August 1941, he completed his initial training at Bradfield Park, NSW and was later attached to the RAF. On 14 June 1943, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt), with 4 other members of the crew of a Wellington BJ672, went missing over the North Sea while on a non operational cross country flight. He was 20 years of age. Flt Sgt Gray has no known grave. His name is remembered with honour on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey, England, United Kingdom.
