Description
Identification portrait of 413357 Aircraftman 2 (AC2) Allan John Davey RAAF, of Croydon Road, Croydon, NSW. A clerk prior to enlisting on 17 August 1941, he completed his initial training at Bradfield Park, NSW and was later attached to the RAF. On 1 September 1943, as a member of No. 199 Squadron RAF, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Davey was killed on operations piloting a Stirling Mk III EE 946 over Germany. He was 24 years of age. Flt Sgt Davey is buried in the 1939-1945 War Cemetery, Berlin, Germany.
