Studio portrait of 3829 Private (Pte) Robert S Fouracre, 22nd Battalion. A surveyor's assistant from Morrissons, Victoria, Pte Fouracre enlisted on 16 July 1915 and embarked on HMAT Warilda (A69), 9 February 1916. Pte Fouracre was promoted to Corporal on 24 May 1917, then to Sergeant on 13 May 1918. Sgt Fouracre was killed in action in France on 14 August 1918, age 29.
