Description
WX3383 Lieutenant John (Jack) Robert Millett (with helmet) and Tom Fonli carry an injured Italian soldier to a truck. The Italian soldier on the right died before he could be loaded. Lt Millett, along with Balding, Dieppe, Baxter, Crawford, Champ and Howard all took part in the mass escape from Oflag VIIB, Eichstatt Bavaria on the night of 3-4 June 1943. They were sent to Colditz after they were recaptured.
