Beretta Modello 38/42 Sub-machine Gun
Description
Beretta modello 38/42 Sub-machine Gun. Machined steel action with a fluted barrel and a wooden butt stock that has a single finger groove to each side of the fore end. The lower sling bar is inlet into the left side of the butt and the shoulder plate has a small butt trap. This weapon has two triggers for single shot and automatic. The receiver top is marked MP "BERETTA" MOD 38/42 CAL 9. It has a knurled knob cocking lever on the right side and safety catch on the left. Missing the magazine.

Unknown. Collected by the Military History Team possibly in North Africa. Brought back to Australia on board HMAS Shropshire.
