Round pressed tin badge with celluloid coating, and rear mounted brass stick pin. The face of the badge features a graphic of the standard Victorian ARP badge (see REL/15711.001-.013) in silver on a blue background, surmounted by the King's crown. Below the crown in red is "VICTORIA" and "ARP", underneath which is printed "DB" followed by a stamped number, 916. The extreme edge of the badge is printed with the maker's details.
Air Raid Precaution label badge issued by the State Emergency Council of Victoria during the Second World War, and worn by ARP members with Warden responsibilities. Wardens would organise their local or suburban ARP group, coordinate public awareness campaigns, distribute pamphlets and equipment and conduct night-time patrols to check civilian adherence to blackout precautions. It is unknown to whom the serial DB 916 was issued.
