Group portrait of the 16th Battery Australian Field Artillery football team. Identified, seated third from left, front row, is 26683 Driver (Dvr) Henry Clyde Kirk, 6th Field Artillery Brigade. A stockman prior to enlisting on 17 February 1916, Dvr Kirk embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Port Sydney (A15) on 7 September 1916. Dvr Kirk was captain of the16th Battery Australian Field Artillery football team and participated in a football tour with this team in France, March 1919. He returned to Australia on 4 June 1919.
