At Sea. c. 1939. Supermarine Seagull V (Walrus) amphibian aircraft, serial no. A2-1, being taxied by Flying Officer John Napier Bell alongside the 'County' Class cruiser HMAS Canberra for retrieval on completion of a flight following a catapult launch from the ship. Bell and the aircraft are from No. 9 (Fleet Cooperation) Squadron RAAF and embarked in Canberra for fleet cooperation duties.
