Each heel is fitted with a 'J' shaped metal reinforcing bar, biased to the outside of the boot, and the sole of the left hand boot is impressed with maker's details and the year of manufacture (Showa 17, or 1942). Each boot is fitted with five pairs of alloy lace eyelets, and the number 110 has been punched into the inner, upper side of each boot. Supplied with a pair of original cream cotton laces with metal sleeve ends. Each boot displays very little wear.
