Japanese type 93 periscopic sight. The sight is 210mm long. The instrument has a magnification of x 6 and a field of view of 8 degrees 20 minutes. The sight is fitted onto the weapon using a 20mm dovetail fitting on base.

This sight was typically used on a Type 92 7.7mm 'woodpecker' machine gun. The eyepiece on this weapon is considerably above the receiver. This sight is used only for laying the gun, and is detached before firing. Provenance unknown.
