Type 89 Aircraft Machine Gun
Description
Type 89 Aircraft Machine Gun. Plain air cooled barrel with a right side recoil piston assembly that makes the weapon look like it has two barrels. The right hand straight cocking lever is attached to the top slide on the bolt. The action is marked with the Kokura Arsenal stamp and 14.6 (1939 June). The wooden pistol grip is damaged and it has a large plate steel guard to cover the fingers. A folding butt is attached to the rear of the action. It has a gimble bracket near the breech and a central pivot, sheet steel, post mount underneath. There are no sights.
