German Third Reich Army Officer Sword and Scabbard
Description
German Third Reich Army Officer's sword and scabbard. The hilt is a gilt/alloy stirrup type having an eagle with folded wings and swastika on the crossguard langet. The pommel is a lions head, with red glass eyes and has a leaf design down the backstrap. The grip is black plastic bound with silver wire. The plain, slightly curved chromed blade has a single fuller to each side and the ricasso is stamped with the F.W.HOLLER, Solingen trade mark in an oval. The black painted scabbard has a single loose ring mounted on a band 70 mm down from the throat.
