Type 89 Aircraft Machine Gun
Description
Type 89 Aircraft Machine Gun. Plain air cooled barrel with a right side recoil piston assembly that makes the weapon look like it has two barrels. The right hand straight cocking lever is attached to the top slide on the bolt. The action is marked with the Kokura Arsenal stamp, the serial number and 18.9 (1943 September). It has a large wooden pistol grip and a plate steel guard to cover the fingers. A small folding butt is attached to the rear of the action. It is complete with a central pivot post mount underneath and sights.
