Recruits from Rockhampton and district, pictured with recruiting banners in Brisbane before entering camp. The banners read: "We are the recruits for the AIF from Central Q'land [Queensland] will you join us" and may have been used in one of the recruitment marches which happened around Australia. Published in the Queenslander 24 November 1917, page 22, the original caption reads "A party of recruits from Rockhampton who recently marched through Brisbane to help the volunteer movement.
