37 mm Type 94 Anti Tank Gun
The gun has a semi-automatic, horizontal sliding breech block. The gun is mounted on a split trail carriage with wooden wheels fitted with steel rims. The recuperator is of the hydrospring type and is housed in the bottom sleigh. Two recoil springs are positioned over the hydraulic cylinder which contains a stationary piston rod and piston. The bottom sleigh is provided with rails, which guide the gun tube during recoil. The siting handwheel acts as a trigger actuator when pulled forward. The shield is made from a single piece of armour plate which is fitted into slots in the top of the carriage which is retained by the shield brace attachment latches. An aperture is provided on the left side for sighting. The breech will not close or open. The weapon has a faded mottled olive green and pale yellow colour scheme. Markings - Japanese cyphers.
