Model 1917 Enfield Rifle : North Vietnamese Forces
Description
Model 1917 Enfield bolt action rifle. Receiver stamped U.S. MODEL OF 1917 EDDYSTONE and the serial number. Barrel stamped near the muzzle 4-18. One piece full wood stock with a single finger groove to each side of the fore arm and a top hand guard. The stock has a number of bruises and cut marks in front of the bolt arm and on the butt cheek. Missing the locating pin from the nose cap.

This weapon was captured at the Battle of Long Tan on the 18th of August 1966 by 6 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.
