Donald Ridley Smirnoff Begbie, Chaplain 4th Class, RAAF, standing on an open air stage, conducts a service on Sunday night for members of No 1 Fighter Wing , comprising No. 457 Squadron RAAF, No. 452 Squadron RAAF and No. 54 Squadron RAF. The fabric banners on the left and the right of the stage note the locations and vessels which are associated with No. 54 Squadron. Donald Begbie was one of three brothers who served as chaplains in the Second World War.
