French Light Cavalry Trooper's Sword
Description
French light cavalry trooper's sword. The brass hilt is a D shape stirrup type stamped 1728 (crossed out) and 1192 with three inspection marks. The grip is leather bound with brass wire. The curved blade has a wide single fuller to both sides and has been painted silver over rust. The back edge has a French inscription including Chatellerault 1855.
