The torpedo accident Off Queenscliff
Description
On the afternoon of 5 March 1881 while conducting torpedo experiments off the coast at Queenscliff, Victoria, five members of a boat crew from HMCSS Cerberus were accidentally killed. This print was reproduced in Pearson's Monthly Illustrated Adelaide News in April 1881, page 60. This was accompanied on page 59 by with a detailed account of the events leading up to the accident, plus brief biographies of the five men who were killed in the accident.
