Volunteer sham fight in St Kilda Park
Description
Volunteers in night training exercise, ship has just fired a salvo and signal lights while rows of soldiers are firing out to sea, in centre middleground is a navigation beacon with coastal artillery (possibly 64-pounder guns), at right are a series of targets for rifle shooting practice, with a horse team drawing a gun (possibly 12-pounder) to a new position, civilians watching activity.
