Description
Paper statue of an old Australian soldier. He carries a full kit including tin helmet, drink bottle, sleeping back and rifle. He has a scarf wrapped around his head and he smokes a pipe. Bruce Bairnsfather (1888-1959) was a well known UK humourist during the war, his most popular cartoon being a characterisation of the ordinary British soldier, called "Old Bill".
