Jeanne D'Arc au Siege D'Orleans
Description
Statuette brought back from France by Sgt W.F. Adamson, a member of the 1st Light Horse AIF in the First World War. It depicts Joan of Arc seated atop a rearing horse. She holds aloft a flagpole in her left hand and in her right, a long sword. She is dressed in full military armour. At her feet are armory gloves and a helmet, large acanthus leaves and two or three unidentifiable objects. Attached to the wooden base is a bronze plaque that reads 'Jeanne D'Arc Au siege D'Orleans'.
