British officer's foreign service helmet
Description
British army officer's foreign service helmet. The cork helmet is covered with khaki cotton drill on the outside and fine green cotton on the inside. It is complete with a brass ventilator button and a khaki cotton six-fold puggaree, but the chin strap is missing. There are two brass hooks inside the helmet to take a chinstrap. The leather sweatband is adjustable and is stamped 'Hobson & Sons London (Ltd)'.
