The watering point
Description
One of those everyday scenes with which every soldier is familiar. The water trucks drive backwards and forward to the watering points to keep the various tanks, situated in camps near the kitchen and ablution places, constantly replenished. There are always a number of trucks waiting. It takes about eight minutes to fill an empty tank and as one truck leaves full, another immediately takes its place. The water trucks are 4x4 Chevrolets and their tank capacity is 400 gallons.
