Description
The shed in which the generator for "Guinea Gold", the Army newspaper is housed. Produced under difficult conditions, the paper was distributed free to both Australian and American troops serving in New Guinea. This shows the construction of native huts including the use of 'sac sac', sago palm thatching. In the distance can be seen part of the Bulk Issue Petrol Depot, a large fuel dump.
