Captured Japanese 150mm Howitzer
Description
Drawn on the day after capture when the site was comparatively undisturbed. This gun had been responsible for a certain amount of shelling during weeks previous to its capture. The gun had obviously been in position for a considerable period as there were no signs of the struggle necessary to get it there. Immediately in front of the position is an arm of the Hupai River, which served to hide blast marks and the overhead foliage eliminated all possibility of detection from the air. The barrel is 11' 6" long and had been pulled back to render it temporarily unserviceable.
