Load, 4" gun, HMAS Wagga
Description
The 4 inch gun crew on HMAS Wagga (unidentified). The shells are being brought to the gun first from the ready-use lockers on deck and when these are exhausted are lifted from the ammunition hoist which convey them from down below. The men wear asbestos-treated anti-flash gear in the form of a hood and gauntlet gloves.
