Squadron Leader Ronald Macdonald
Description
Portrait of Squadron Leader Ronald Sommerville Macdonald (270812), Commanding 452 Squadron, Spitfire pilot, convalescing from burns after being shot down in action. Baird noted alongside this work that Macdonald had at one stage lost his way in the bush, but was eventually able to find his way back to the track.
