HQ of 22, 23rd Battalions, May 1918, The Monastery "White Chateau", Bois L'abbe
Description
Drawing of a monastery, the "White Chateau" in France. The Maison du Bois l'Abbe, near Villers-Bretonneux, on the Amiens Road to France. At this time it was used as a headquarters for support battalions and an Advanced Dressing Station was located in the basement (entrance between the steps). Soldiers are standing around the front steps.
