The souvenir hunter
Description
An Australian soldier chasing a live shell that is about to hit the ground. The image is titled 'The Souvenir Hunter', and there is also a caption below the image that states: 'I haven't got a nose-cap off one of those big shells.' This drawing was possibly made for publication in the 'Bulletin' newspaper in Sydney with whom Colahan worked up until May 1918.
