Description
The personification of Great Britain, John Bull, shakes hands with the American Uncle Sam to welcome him into the First World War following the German offensive towards Great Britain and the sinking of American ships in the North Atlantic. The United States had entered the war after two and a half years of attempting to remain neutral.
