Shipwrights shaping keels
Description
Shipwrights shaping keels against a background of bulkheads at Halvorsen's Yard, Ryde, on the Parramatta River. The keels are constructed using Australian hardwoods, most commonly Black Butt and Spotted Gum. All the craft are of timber construction and range from Fairmile motor launches to fast supply boats and search and rescue launches for the RAAF.
