Pre-dawn muster, Garbutt airfield, Townsville
Description
All ranks of Australian and American troops bound for overseas and active service, wait outside the old Air Transport shed to listen for their names to be called over the loud speaker by an American corporal. Garbutt airfield was the best known departure and arrival point for troops travelling between the mainland and the islands.
