2nd Australian Imperial Force, 7th Australian Division; Major-General Arthur Samuel Allen, CB, CBE, DSO, VD, FCA, General Commanding 7th Division. This portrait was exhibited in the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, from 23 January - 28 February 1943.
