Description
Depicting a portrait of a Papuan Native Constabulary, Sergeant Sanopa. He was stationed at Buna before the war. Recommended for decoration for work at Oivi. Fought at Kokoda - led A Company, 39th Battalion back to Oivi after they have been cut off, and fought with 39th Battalion back to Iorabeia. Papuan campaign with 39th Australian Infantry Battalion, Buna, New Guinea.
