Armoured cars of British Reconnaissance Regiment in Tempe, Greece
Description
Tempe in 1941, was the scene of a very heavy attack by German armoured units against the rearguard of the British withdrawal from Greece. The 2/2nd Australian Infantry Battalion and New Zealand units repulsed the attack, inflicting heavy losses. This sketch shows the buildings, churches and housing in the village of Tempe, as well as the humber armoured cars of the Reconnaissance Regiment.
