Bombed area, Yokohama
Description
This drawing shows the devastation caused by incendiaries in an Allied bombing raid in 1945. Concrete structures were the only buildings surviving after two hours intense bombing. After the surrender, the inhabitants were fast returning to their burnt-out sites and erecting dwellings from the rubbish around, Japan.
