Description
In the early days of their internment and before they were required by the Japanese to work, the majority of the men of the 8th Division who had been captured at the fall of Singapore, passed many of the long hours in endeavouring to increase their knowledge of a diversity by educationists amoung their number and by books bought into the camp by themselves when first transferred to Changi Goal from Tanglin Camp.
