AIF cemetery, Changi: interior
Description
In this cemetery are buried all the AIF prisoners-of-war of the Japanese who died in captivity in Changi Goal, Selerang. When this was drawn there was a great difference between the first start of the cemetery in the early days of captivity. It was then just a small space in the jungle. In 1944 it was a well controlled and organised layout. In the immediate vicinity ran a new airstrip, a dispersal bay just cutting into the corner of the cemetery. A view of the AIF cemetery at Changi POW camp. The graves are set out neatly and appear well looked after.
