Selerang AIF PW area
Description
As seen from Barrack Squares building. In the foreground are the men's Mess huts. In the right middle distance, the Convalescent Depot. In the distance may be seen the Straits of Johore and 'Southern Area'. Centre right is wooden tower built by the Japanese. The one AIF motor ambulance allowed by the Japanese can be seen left centre. A sweeping view of the Selarang Barracks compound where the AIF prisoners of war were housed for the majority of their time in captivity.
