Digging and wiring
Description
Ivor Hele made hundreds of sketches while observing the activities of the 3RAR. As he had done in the Second World War, Hele shared the front line with the troops, and often experienced the same constant shell-fire. These expressive drawings capture some of 3RAR’s soldiers carrying out routine trench maintenance.
