Waiting to embark for Balikpapan, Red Beach, Morotai
Description
Almost immediately on arrival at Morotai, troops began to re-embark - this time on ships of the assault convoy. Day by day thousands of military personnel moved in draft onto the slowly swaying wharves. There was no bustle, no accident. Heavy field guns, flamethrower tanks(Frogs), Matildas, bulldozer tanks, motor vehicles, heavy engineering equipment went the same way - no bustle, no accident. Sketch shows bulldozer tanks and crew lined up at Red Beach, Morotai, awaiting embarkation loading.
