Burial of an airman killed in action
Description
Padre Flight Lieutenant Campbell Begbie of 22 Squadron RAAF, conducts the funeral of Sergeant Arthur Taylor, also of 22 Squadron, who was killed in action on 24 May 1943. The pall bearers and mourners are unidentified members of 22 Squadron. The New Guinean man sitting in the foreground was responsible for digging the grave. The graves of other Australian servicemen can be seen in the war cemetery in the background.
