From a distance, a scene of Japanese troops on the shorline of Aitape, New Guinea, being attacked by allied aircraft and ships at 6.45 am, Sunday 23rd April 1944.
A prolific painter and print maker, Kenneth Jack (b.1924) served with the RAAF as a survey and cartographic draughtsman in New Guinea, Borneo and Morotai from 1943-45.
