Graving dock under construction, showing electric gantry, August 1943
Description
Construction of the Sydney Graving Dock, showing a landscape of cranes and electric gantry. McClintock's focus on the immensity of these structures is demonstrative of the scale of the project being undertaken. The artist also utilises social realism as a means to facilitate the viewer's appreciation of the co-operation between workers.
