Blacksmith forges with Caisson section of dock wall in construction
Description
Construction of a dock wall at Sydney Graving Dock. Men stand and work in the sheds below. A caisson is half-way along the wall, partly engulfed by black smoke. McClintock's focus on the immensity of these structures is demonstrative of the scale of the project being undertaken.
