Landing barge, troops and stores
Description
The drawing depicts Australian troops landing at Papua New Guinea in 1942/3. In the foreground, Australian soldiers in uniform mill around barrels of supplies, while further back more Australian soldiers and men from Papua New Guinea unload barrels from two ships anchored in the water. To the right the viewer has a partial view of a shed, to the left three palm trees, and hills in the distance.
