Captain Henry Nicholls
Description
Portrait depicting Captain Henry William Nicholls MC (NX15737) 'Z' Special Unit (formerly of 1st Australian Parachute Battalion and 2/1st Australian Pioneer Battalion). Served in Benghazi and Tobruk, awarded the Military Cross for gallantry at the age of 20. Captain Nicholls led a party ashore in Wewak prior to its capture by 6th Australian Division, New Guinea.
