Starboard 6" gun - HMS "Chitral"
Description
From the fo'castle looking aft across the well deck. The crew of one of the ship's 6-inch guns are closed up at actions stations (exercise). The square bridge is typical of this class of former P&O liners. On either side of the bridge, searchlights have been installed, and above the wheelhouse a large compass platform has been added. The Captain's quarters are as formerly and on the boat deck are cabins for officers; engineers aft. On the former Promenade Deck is the ship's armament, 6" guns, Indian Ocean.
