Description
An illustration depicting to boys soaking wet in the living room of their home, telling their mother how they played a game of U Boats with their friends. Their elder brother is seated in an armchair to the left reading a paper and a portrait of their father in uniform hangs on the wall. Cecil Percival, was a cartoonist and illustrator. He contributed to 'Aussie', a paper for troops in the trenches during the First World War, also to London 'Punch'. He worked with the War Records section in London and later became principal cartoonist for the Sydney 'Bulletin', from 1920 to1940.
